Project Location: Queens, NY
This renovation upgrades the lobby and entrance of Creedmoor Psychiatric Center’s main inpatient residential building, which houses inpatient and outpatient transitional residence beds. This project reconfigures the safety office and control sallyport, allocating more space for circulation, improving visual monitoring of the building, and safety of staff, visitors and patients. The new design allows transitional residents to independently come and go through the lobby security entrance to attend day activities located elsewhere on campus or in the community. The quality of space is enhanced through ample daylighting, transparency and views to the campus.
