Our Work1403 Avant Residence

1403 Avant by Architectural Resources

Design Brief

Project Location: Buffalo, NY

This is a reflection of the spirit, vision, and determination of its inhabitant. Every aspect of this 2,500 square foot condominium overlooking the Lake Erie waterfront reveals the person for whom it was designed.

The main living space affords quiet contemplation from the bench window seat, or warm reflection in front of the linear fireplace. The custom, original wall mural captures the energy and vitality of its owner; a bit glam, feminine, and infinitely interesting in its subtle complexity. The projected glass counter spills out from a unique textured art wall, and sets the stage for drinks and casual conversation. The sleek stainless lines in the kitchen are clean, inviting and upscale.

The Master Bedroom and Bath are animated with custom fireplaces, sculptural wall panels, and impossibly cantilevered counters. The steam shower provides a welcome retreat from the stresses of the day. Flow among spaces is seamless, unencumbered in any way.

A home is a reflection of the spirit. This particular home is a healing place, a retreat that celebrates life and contemplates future possibilities just as its owner does. Despite the challenges of living as a quadriplegic, this home, and this exceptional person transcend any limitations and inspire all that enter.
