Project Location: Buffalo, NY
A|r is leading the first phase of renovation to enhance the student-centered experience and atmosphere in the Union and encourage student interaction. The project will provide an array of lounge, multipurpose, and student spaces with a focus on visibility and transparency. Key to the project is a new open stair that introduces highly visible access to the third floor.
The renovation addresses acoustic and thermal comfort in the triple-height space, expands campus dining options, and updates interior branding and wayfinding. It also captures more interior space to create a ‘campus living room’ experience, in a way that is welcoming and visually engaging for students.
