The project entailed the conversion and integration of part of a 1929 high bay industrial space to provide expansive meeting, research and design facilities all in order to meet the changing demands for a leader in the industrial gases industry. Layers of transparency were used to enhance the experience of connection through the spaces. This experience is magnified in the new conference room where the glass wall projects beyond the existing structure, cantilevering into the open area of the existing atrium. The resulting slice of glass composition not only creates a dramatic experience from within but a striking view from the atrium floor below.
